5 Questions With World-Renowned Chef, Pete Evans

We’re thrilled to welcome world-renowned, professional chef, Pete Evans, to the Greeny family. A huge proponent of healthy lifestyles, Pete has become well-versed in the CBD industry and joins Greeny to share his knowledge and expertise with weekly tips, tricks and insights.

A little more about Pete…

Pete’s ethos has been captured in his self-funded documentary The Magical Pill (screening on Netflix and Amazon) — an analysis of individuals relationship with food — and the forthcoming documentary, The Magic Plant, which looks closely at the human relationship between humans and cannabis. Co-host of Australia’s #1 hit television show, My Kitchen Rules, and best-selling author in the category of health and lifestyle, Pete is dedicated to education about natural healthy living and wellness. To kick-off our partnership we sat down with Pete to pick his brain about cooking, CBD and more.

1. One thing people should know about your approach to cooking?

“My philosophy with food is very simple: supply the body and mind with the healthiest & tastiest ingredients it knows what to do with.”

2. When did you first discover CBD?

“I have been on a discovery mission to learn as much as I can about cannabis over the last couple of years. I’ve interviewed the world’s leading experts, acting as a sponge to soak up all the information I can.”

3. Why use CBD in cooking?

“Cannabis is a wonderful herb that adds flavour to a meal and, at the same time, provides many nutritional benefits for the body.”

4. What’s your advice for CBD-beginners in the kitchen?

“It depends on the type of CBD product you are using but generally the rule is to go low and slow so you get used to the effects of using cannabis in your cooking.”

5. When you aren’t in the kitchen, how do you spend your time?

“I love spending time with my family first and foremost as well as exploring the world and meeting interesting people who are finding long term sustainable solutions to some of the world’s biggest issues.”
